ACT
The ACT Assessment® is designed to assess the general educational development of high school students and their ability to successfully complete college-level work. The tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning.
SAT
Despite great changes in our American society since the SAT was first administered, the College Board's mission remains the same: to provide educational institutions with an honest measure of the ability of students. To remain true to the College Board's founding principles, the SAT has been adapted to reflect the needs of students and the colleges they are preparing to enter. This is part of a larger process of change toward greater access and equity in the American educational system.
