Think College - Careers
The following links provide information about careers and are a way to explore the areas that most fit a person’s interests and abilities.
Occupational Outlook Handbook – Information available on any career, including: working conditions, nature of work, training or education needed, job outlook, average salary, and related occupations.
Career Voyages – Click on one of the four questions or check out careers by going to one of Industries listed on the left side of the web page. You can also go down the left menu under Other Stuff to a section called Career Videos. These provide short visual overviews of many occupations.
Careership -- Explore careers through looking at your interests, career clusters, or the occupation name. There is a link at the bottom of each career description giving wages for the occupation based on the state in which you live.
Which Jobs Interest You? – Online Career Interest Inventory. Answer the questions and get a list of careers that match your interests.
What Do You Like? -- Sponsored by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this site for middle school students gives basic information about careers focused around student interest areas.
What Can I Do With a Major In? -- A site matching possible college majors with a number of different career areas.
Career Zone -- A New York site that allows exploration of careers starting from any of 6 different Career Clusters.
