Alternative Schools
Alternative secondary schools (grades 7 - 12) were developed for students who find the traditional school setting is not meeting their educational needs. The environment at alternative schools is generally smaller and more flexible than that of a traditional school. Alternative schools help students who need more one-on-one instruction, a flexible schedule or are behind on credits.
All students are eligible to apply for alternative schools if they are interested but must fill out an application and return it directly to the alternative school office for processing. The principal of the alternative school is responsible for accepting students into their school.
Contact the Blackbear Bosin Academy or Metro-Alternative offices to obtain application forms for the 2009-2010 school year.
