2008 Back to School and Enrollment Information
The first day of school is August 14, with a half-day orientation for sixth- and ninth-grade students on August 13.
For an elementary school supply list, click here. Parents need to provide supplies on the list, but should check with their school to determine if it recommends additional supplies. Middle and High School supply lists will be provided by individual schools and teachers.
Some schools require you to present proof of residency when enrolling. Please call the school you will be enrolling your child or children in and check with them about their specific requirements before going to the school to enroll.
Convenient way for parents to pay is by credit card
Parents have the option of paying enrollment fees with Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards. Parents can use their Visa or MasterCard to pay for fees throughout the school year. (check with a specific school to obtain the enrollment fees)
MealpayPlus Progam
Parents can use this convenient prepayment system to make payments for their child's meals online or by phone using a credit card. For more information and how to sign up, click here.

Enrollment for our free Pre-K programs is currently taking place at Little Early Childhood Education Center. Children must be 4 years old by August 31, 2008 and must be screened to meet the criteria for the program. Call 973-5340 or 973-4407 for appointment information in English. Required Enrollment forms
To attend The Wichita Public Schools there are certain forms that are required for enrollment in the Wichita Public Schools. For your convenience, a list of the required forms are listed below. These forms can be downloaded and filled out and taken to enrollment.
-- Pupil Information Form (PIF) English, Spanish and Vietnamese
-- Acceptable Use of Computers Form English, Spanish and Vietnamese
-- Home Language Form (new students only) English, Spanish, and Vietnamese
-- Human Growth and Development Form for Elementary and Secondary

-- Zero Tolerance Form English, Spanish, and Vietnamese

Kindergarten and Newcomer pre-enrollment at Intake Center
Residents who are new to Wichita with children who speak or were raised with another language other than English any time in their life (including day care experiences) are required to come to the Wichita Public Schools’ Newcomer Intake Center, 1150 N. Broadway, for pre-enrollment in order to begin school on August 14. For more information, click here.
