Routing System and Positions
The following information is in regards to the type of routing system that the Wichita Public Schools Transportation Department uses and the staff positions within the department.
- EDULOG is the electronic routing and scheduling system used by USD 259. EDULOG is Educational Logistics which is based in Missoula, Montana.
- Assistant Supervisor of office operations is responsible to assist the department manager in the daily operations of the routing and scheduling, as well as troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Schedulers are assigned a specific number of schools of which they are responsible for the assignment of students for regular education, special education and any programs identified by the Board of Education.
- Technical Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of the electronic routing system as well as liaison between the vendor and the transportation department. The Technical analyst is also responsible for all related training.
- Field Services is responsible for responding to calls regarding safety and discipline, including accidents.
- Special Education Transportation Administrator oversees the assignment of special education students and all related services and resources.
