Kansas School Report Cards
For the most recent Kansas School Report Cards provided by the Kansas State Department of Education, click on the link above. Links to report cards for all USD 259 elementary, middle and high schools are available in the right-column Related Links section of each school's profile page. The Wichita district presents the Report Card in this context because all of these factors reflect each school's commitment to continuous improvement. This approach is consistent with the School Improvement Plan process mandated by the Kansas State Board of Education.
ACT (American College Test)
The ACT is the college entrance exam most frequently taken by Kansas and Wichita students. Apporximately 60 percent of all Wichita students take the ACT annually. The ACT is conducted by the American College Testing Program. It includes sections on English usage, math usage, reading and science reasoning. All colleges in Kansas use the ACT for admissions and course placement purposes.
Wichita Public Schools ACT scores are comparable to the national averages. As students in an urban area, Wichita students are much more diverse socially and economically than Kansas and national test-takers.
