Students must be fifteen by the first day of the course.
No fee is refundable after the first day of class.
Any student who suffers from epilepsy, fainting, dizzy spells, physical infirmity or other conditions which might make safe driving difficult will be required to obtain a medical referral prior to the first day of class in any of the following sessions.
Driver Education - Regular School Year 2009-2010
We offer Driver Education during the regular school day at East, Heights, North, Northwest, South, Southeast and West high schools. In this course, students will learn to drive responsibly. Students will prepare for street and highway driving by studying the course materials and practice driving in a simulator and on the street. Students will study, learn and use safety rules in all activities.

Driver Education - Special Education
Courses are provided at East High School during the Regular School Year only. Access to this course requires a student to have an IEP specifying placement within the program.
Driver Education - Evening Session (Full Fees - NO Reductions)
$312.00 Fee + $2.00 DE99-Permit + $2.50 Textbook Rental + $6.97 Workbook (tax is included) = $323.47 Total
This course has the same requirements as the "Driver Education - Regular School Year" and is open to any student or adult. Five sessions will be offered with enrollment closing at 20 students per session, minimum of 8 students required for each session. This course meets several nights a week at East High School with additional arranged driving times outside of class time. This course is offered during the school year, but in the evenings. Six weeks approximately.

Driver Education - Summer School 2010 (Full Fees - NO Reductions)
Cost for the class is $227.47 per student.
This course will be offered at East High and Northwest High Schools - enrollment will be held on May 1, 2010 at East High in the West Gym and at Northwest High in the Commons area. Students must be 15 years of age on or before June 7, 2010. The 6 week class will begin on June 7 and continue through July 16, 2010. No class will be held on July 5, 2010. Class schedules will be set by the individual school sites. Additional Summer Program Information.
