ü State of Kansas approves a budget cut to the 2008-09 base state per pupil aid (BSPPA) by $33 per pupil and reduces special education support by 1%.
March 2009
ü Board approves budget process and sets funding priorities for the 2009-10 budget.
ü Superintendent’s Advisory Council (SAC) prioritizes budget priorities.
April 2009
ü Administrative budget review team meets to review SAC budget priorities.

August 2009
ü Legal public hearing and budget adoption on the 2009-10 budget as required by Kansas Statute – August 10, 2009.
ü Budget filed with the county and state as required by Kansas statute by August 25.
September 2009
ü Enrollment of September 20 is used to determine 2009-10 state funding.
December 2009
ü State enrollment audit is completed to determine state funding for 2009-10.
May 2010
ü State determines final special education state aid and budget is republished if necessary.
