AmeriCorps GRASP Program Information
AmeriCorps GRASP members make a commitment for 1 year to serve 1700 hours by tutoring and mentoring in Title 1 schools. Members also serve the community by participating in National Days of Service, service learning projects and community service activities. The program also provides an opportunity for its members to become highly qualified Para-professional and encourages them to continue their education to become teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 17 years of age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Citizen of the United States or Permanent Resident
- Pass State and Federal background checks
- Negative TB test
- Desire to further your education
- Ability and desire to work with children
- Able to make a commitment for 1 year (August 1 to July 31)
- Must be able to complete 1700 hours of service
- Must attend member training and college classes
