BOE approves contract agreements with employee groups
The Board of Education approved the employee agreements between the different employee groups for during its August 25 meeting. The contracts are with the United Teachers of Wichita, Service Employees International Union, Wichita Association of Technical/Supervisory Personnel, Security Group and Confidential Group.
 
The one-year agreement with UTW, and the two-year agreements with SEIU, Technical/Supervisory, Security and Confidential include a 2.9-percent pay increase and the Board of Education will pay $590 a month per employee for health insurance. This year, the district is providing one health plan and not offering the "buy up" plan.
