DeAnn Nelson named Kansas Teacher of the Year finalist
DeAnn Nelson, seventh-grade math teacher at Truesdell Middle School, has been named a finalist for the 2007 Kansas Teacher of the Year. She was named during a special banquet on Saturday, September 9, sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education.

As a finalist, Nelson is automatically a member of the 2007 Kansas Teacher of the Year team, which will travel the state promoting and advocating for education and the teaching profession.

The Kansas Teacher of the Year will be named during a ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11 in Wichita.
