Wichita Public Schools honors long-time employees
The strength and vitality of the Wichita Public Schools as an education leader resides with the quality of its employees. For many, their service to the district and students has lasted decades - allowing them to hone their skills, to mentor their colleagues and to be leaders in their professions.
Each year the Wichita Public Schools proudly salutes all of its retiring employees and those who will continue to serve the district after 10-, 20-, 30- and 40-years.
At the conclusion of the 2008-09 school year, the district recognized 160 retiring employees with a combined total of more than 3,871 years of service. Also, 501 employees were recognized for their longevity with the district. For a list of those recognized, click here.
On May 4, 2009 the Marketing and Communications Division hosted a banquet to honor the retiring employees and those who have reached their 20- and 30-year benchmarks of service to the district. Click here to view pictures of that banquet.
