Denise Wren
Denise Wren is an educator with 26 years experience, all with Wichita Public Schools in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1983 with a BS in Secondary Education and received her Masters in Educational Supervision from Wichita State University in 1992. Denise continued her educational journey by obtaining a District-Level Certificate from Wichita State University in 2008.
The first nine years of Denise’s educational career (1983-92) were spent as a PE and Science teacher at Wilbur Middle and Northwest High schools. She was promoted to Assistant Principal at Pleasant Valley Middle School and served in that capacity for three years (1992-95). From there, and for the next five years (1995-2000), she served as Assistant Principal at Wichita Heights High School. In 2000, she was promoted and returned to Pleasant Valley Middle School as Principal until 2003. In 2003, she took on the role of Principal at Wichita High School North. In July of 2006, Denise accepted the responsibility of leading all of Wichita’s high schools as she was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of High Schools.
